  1. VG Fits for NON-WTM ( NO SRP ) Kitchen SInks.

    Thanks for the additional
  2. Right then, shield tanking. The shield is tanked. 19/20 it works and reps land on time. Hurrah! Then you get that one time in 20 when you hit armor ( or even hull ). It happens. It's why our Logi carry Armor bots. Armor-Slapping is buffer being used. We're all tanked so that our shield holds mostly, but the Sansha can do 'smashes' & 'wrecking shots' too. And that is what usually takes a well-timed broadcast ( on time ) into armor. Damage spikes are damage spikes. It's just how it is. Don't undock what you can't afford to lose. EVE rule 1. So... Here are a couple of strategies to help here. 1) A nice ship. 1 nice ship, that is good & reliable, can earn you great ISK. Enough to get you up to about 5b isk in liquid ISK, as you also upgrade your Hull. Obviously WTM likes people upgrading their Hulls, so we're all good. And it is true that a decent set of invulns ( 130k ehp instead of 100k ehp, as an example ) can save the day. But you have to move that ship around. And thar be Gankers. So... 2) Number 2 is the travel fit. Take all your shinies out of your lows, then use those lows to ramp up your ehp as high as possible. Gankers like 0.5's & 0.6's, so that is where you use a travel fit. In fact use said travel fit any time you move your ship. Bulkheads in the lows are the easiest, but if you have Armor skills you might get more ehp out by using those Armor skills. Membranes, plates, it all adds up. It might take you higher than a bulkhead fit. 3) Number 3 is about escort vessels. The pros run two accounts at the same time, and one of those toons can help the other. With safety on Green you can rep a ship being ganked if you are in the same fleet. So your highs are filled with remote shield reps. Escort reps main, or main reps escort. Who-ever takes fire starts the concord timer. They can kill the cheap escort, and the nice ship makes it through; or they can fail to kill the nice ship because the escort propped it up enough. In a 0.5 they have 22 seconds before Concord wins. A few extra reps on your shiny toy can save the day. Escort vessels have their uses. 4) For the proper regular flyers. A bowhead in each empire. Just the hauler to start with, but as you pick up bits & bobs you can do it properly. This one is for those who see Incursions as space-mining. So they do Incursion Fleet a lot. And a Bowhead in each empire means the hulls can be hauled without going through major gank-zones. You only really need 1-2 sets of shinies to fit out your ship. You could have a Vindi & Scimi in each empire, in a Bowhead; with 1 nice set of invulns & damage mods you move about in a smaller cloaky 'thingy' ( Sisters of EVE 'haulers' are fun ). With this one you always have a scout. 2 accounts. But it does make life easier when you can move your Hanger. 5) Know your Hulls. Scimies & Leshaks are vulnerable to heavy salvos from the Sansha taking out their shield layer real fast. I've had it, and so have others. Rule 1 of EVE is about not undocking in a ship you can't afford to lose, but number 2 IMHO is about choosing your ship wisely. If you know you can be a bit slow to respond ( like me at times, as I am a disabled-in-real-life pilot ) then adjust for that. I did mention the decent invulns after all. 6) Too tired to fly. Yeah, just take the hint. There is no profit in getting yourself or someone else killed. . But yes, Armor-slapping happens. Think yourself lucky that that armor is there, and has an anti-laser bias in it's resists Fly safe
  3. Scimi fits. For Logi 4. Cheap fits too.

Just thinking about your point Sparta. As a regular flyer myself ( as I can't do Caps in Null at present ) I would expect myself to be urged to upgrade etc. Even as Logi 4 I'd swallow the rig change cost for 'Logi 4 to 5' Scimi to get that link in, simply because I don't want to sand-bag. Others on the Fleet Efficiency thread are also mentioning encouraging regular flyers to oomph it up a bit. It might well be a different rule for the regulars compared to the occasionals. With Ditanian walking all over us at present we need a counter. I emptied the piggy bank to get a Leshak, but 1 more Leshak is not enough when they have a dozen or so propped up by Nestors. Yeah, we need to come up with something. Anyway, you're the boss so do what you need to.
  4. A quick thank you

    Space mining best mining
  5. Scimi fits. For Logi 4. Cheap fits too.

All I'm doing is sharing the tricks I learned out in Null. Up to you if you want it taken down or not, obviously
  6. Scimi fits. For Logi 4. Cheap fits too.

Logi 4 to Logi 5 is a month. Changing 1 rig in a month shouldn't be a back-breaker. That was my thinking anyway. Plus, 1 linky

Another important point. Blackout. Some people may well be using Incursion more to raise ISK to replace a lost carrier. So expecting high-end kit to show up quickly won't happen when 50% of your Concord Bounties paid heads out to Null. Then you get Multi-training stuff. 1.5b ISK right there. 500 PLEX at 1.7b ISK. If you want to stamp on Alphas then encouraging to go Omega is an option ( I do it ), but... You'd have to take notes on Alphas and how long they fly with us. And that is a lot for FC's to monitor. This is my current Alpha Mach: [Machariel, Alpaca Blappa!] Damage Control II Tracking Enhancer II Gyrostabilizer II Gyrostabilizer II Gyrostabilizer II Gyrostabilizer II 500MN Cold-Gas Enduring Microwarpdrive Pithum C-Type EM Ward Amplifier Pithum C-Type Adaptive Invulnerability Field Adaptive Invulnerability Field II Tracking Computer II Tracking Computer II Domination 1400mm Howitzer Artillery Domination 1400mm Howitzer Artillery Domination 1400mm Howitzer Artillery Domination 1400mm Howitzer Artillery Domination 1400mm Howitzer Artillery Domination 1400mm Howitzer Artillery Domination 1400mm Howitzer Artillery Small Tractor Beam I Large Core Defense Field Extender II Large Ancillary Current Router II Large Anti-Thermal Screen Reinforcer II Federation Navy Ogre x5 Tracking Speed Script x2 Republic Fleet Depleted Uranium L x16045 Republic Fleet EMP L x12019 Standard Drop Booster x6 . I was told 2 Pith C's was overtanking. It needs a bit of work still, but means if I fail to Plex in time I'm not too much of a sand-bag. But then I'm a regular-flyer. It's my space-mining, unlike the Rorq bros in Null. Those guns weren't cheap. That's the point really. I can't fly that Command ship to a basic non-mind-link level for another month FYI. If the Fleet chooses to run overflow.

Here is an example I have worked on of Logi 4 Optimisation:

I agree on the High End fits, but... As a disabled pilot who has to PLEX I am wary about having all your eggs in one basket. You might be a bit slow to broadcast due to a fluffy moment, or get unlucky crossing Niarja, & then you are stuffed. So 0-60 in 3 seconds probably should be 0-60 in 12s ( one shiny in each empire ). With the VG over-flow thing you lose the prop-module & maybe 1 invuln. That frees up slots for Sensor Boosters & Tracking Comps. It will work even better ( faster sites ) if those new items added are shiny. T2 guns will be important too. In fact T2 guns should be the first port of call, before you buy shinies, on any hull you want to fly. With more choice on what sites you fly there will be less boredom. With less boredom more people will be up for spending more on ships too. As they'll be hanging around with us more. I used to fly with Ditanian a couple of years back. They were obsessed with Shiny as they went for TVP. TVP loved shiny too. Shiny helps, but it takes time to accrue the parts & hulls needed to do it in a gank-free way. Taking ages means boredom, which is why variety in site becomes relevant too. If we can make our ISK-grinding less boring then I think it will benefit the fleet over-all. A 'chore' becomes a pleasure.

Fleshing this out a bit. As a viable Plan B should we get too busy. The above command ship does not mess up a ship's rigs. There is no need to mutilate HQ ships. If an invuln can be taken off safely then a Sensor Booster or Tracking comp can be added. But... All those frigates mean Guns will need to be swapped. Tach's will have to be swapped for Mega-pulses. 1400's will need to be changed to 800's or 1200's. Vindis will not need to change. So you'll have to carry 'VG parts' for if you end up in overflow. All viable That'll be it from me now. Plan B should work fine, based on what I have seen of VG's in both High & Null Sec

I'm very-much pro-subscription, but... Sometimes life poops on you. Barring Alphas would be too much IMHO, which takes us to Overflow Fleet turf. If you take an HQ ship fit you won't need a Shield Booster. 90k ehp is enough really. So a VG Booster would need Info & Skirmish. Obviously this is pure theory-crafting but... 14. Ram Jam. Rammed & Jammed. - Was; Fleet Efficiency.

It's in the evening when we seem to slow down. EU time-zone. Afternoons is some good flying. 2 VG's and an Assault would mean some fast stuff with the VG's, and a more-chilled-out Assault crowd. DItanian were genuinely afraid of TVP at VG level. Just strategy
  15. Intel update, tied to this thread on Fleet Efficiency. At present we have NGA, Ditanian, us, and what looks like a second Armor Fleet, all vying for 4 HQ sites. 240 in Local. It's a bit of a squeeze. So... Do we split the fleet, if FC's are available, to get our Pilots better ISK per hour? Obviously a very big question. I am in favour, as we are not a contest fleet. I'll even be able to help, as I know I can FC VG's from my days in Null. So I'll be working for WTM. But... Am I the only one with this view? This new play by CCP is a big one. Only one High Sec Focus, with potentially 2 days between spawns, means we have to be as efficient as possible to get our ISK'ies. It's just a debate, as I am not high command ( obviously ), but let the debate commence! *runs & hides behind the sofa with a tin hat on*
  16. CCP nerfs

It's the new owners. They want us PLEX'ing more, & are applying force. Which won't work on a bunch of math nerds. We aren't gambling addicts like some. Still, the new owners are the new owners. Personally I also feel ya. It isn't useful for me at present in my life.
  17. Incursion Leshak

That's gender neutral politically-correct balls. *ahem* *apologises to the ladies*
  18. Incursion Leshak

After a chat on Teamspeak, just to confirm the tactical role. 1) Leshaks are Tower-killers. As a non-contest Fleet we need to kill A LOT of Towers. They also do well clearing Battleships. 2) They are starting at 2.7b ISK at present. Blackout may take that to 3b ISK. They are not Newbro. 3) They are susceptible to Armor-slapping, like the Scimi. They have an Iddy-biddy shield AND Hull Layer. It takes balls I assure you. You can't sig tank a boat this big. 4) Their Battle-reps could save Triple AAA in a TCRC. If you are fast/skilled enough.
  19. Fleet Efficiency - suggestions -

    1) We flew sub-cap. I left the prop-mods on by accident, but if you have gankers in system getting off of the beacon means that they have to come to you ( with the Sansha shooting at them ). 2) The tank was correct for Null sub-cap. No faxes. Basi power bebbeh. 3) I have a very smelly cat.
  20. Fleet Efficiency - suggestions -

There is also the option of FC Fun-fleets. Again VG, but the FC's get to be pilots in different sites as someone else does FC'ing. It should provide ISK & rest for those who are feeling the burn. Another tool for the tool-box.
  21. Fleet Efficiency - suggestions -

FYI: Null-sec VG's ( where I FC'd ) you flew in full influence a lot of the time. So you'd have a booster like a Tengu, & 3 Logi ( Basis mostly ). The Basi fit was classic WTM, but here are the 2 tank options for Battleships: [Bhaalgorn, Shield Null Bagel] Drone Damage Amplifier II Drone Damage Amplifier II Damage Control II Heat Sink II Heat Sink II Heat Sink II Heat Sink II Gist B-Type 500MN Microwarpdrive EM Ward Amplifier II Adaptive Invulnerability Field II Stasis Webifier II Stasis Webifier II Mega Pulse Laser II Mega Pulse Laser II Mega Pulse Laser II Mega Pulse Laser II Dark Blood Heavy Energy Nosferatu Dark Blood Heavy Energy Nosferatu Large Coaxial Compact Remote Armor Repairer Large Anti-Thermal Screen Reinforcer I Large Capacitor Control Circuit I Large Core Defense Field Extender I Caldari Navy Wasp x6 Imperial Navy Multifrequency L x1 Imperial Navy Gamma L x1 Imperial Navy Xray L x1 Conflagration L x5 Scorch L x1 Nanite Repair Paste x1337 . [Nightmare, Shield Null 'Mare] Damage Control II Capacitor Power Relay II Heat Sink II Heat Sink II Heat Sink II Heat Sink II Gist X-Type 100MN Afterburner Adaptive Invulnerability Field II Adaptive Invulnerability Field II Tracking Computer II Tracking Computer II Tracking Computer II Tracking Computer II Mega Pulse Laser II Mega Pulse Laser II Mega Pulse Laser II Mega Pulse Laser II Small Tractor Beam II Large Remote Capacitor Transmitter II Large Capacitor Control Circuit I Large Capacitor Control Circuit I Large Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I Republic Fleet Berserker x3 Imperial Navy Multifrequency L x12 Imperial Navy Gamma L x8 Imperial Navy Standard L x8 Imperial Navy Infrared L x8 Conflagration L x1 Scorch L x1 . So, yeah, probably over-tanked for High Sec. We know from historical TVP data that the VG damage pattern is about 55% Tamas ( 50% Explosive 50% Kinetic ). So the Shield profile is actually pretty good. In High Sec 60% resists and 10k shield layer, with 2 Logi and a Tengu Booster, would probably cover it. The above 2 fits would work without a Shield Boost ( if it was just info and skirmish ). Tools in the Tool-box, should we need it for the future.

My Wasp II's can hit Schmaels. #ProudDad
  23. Fleet Efficiency - suggestions -

Just to clarify. Obviously I am not high command. But... I've been FC'ing VG's out in Null and we now have 2 big changes in EVE. Blackout might be permanent. Only 1 spawn in High Sec, which might be permanent. That creates 2 possible trends. More Incursion Alts for people, to replace big Null losses, and... Generally more people returning to High Sec. Between the 2 possible trends overflow Fleets may well be needed. Or the waitlist coud get silly. It hasn't happened yet, but Variety is the spice of life
  24. Incursion Leshak

This. With the Black-out in Null more & more people might discover the joy of a dedicated Incursion toon. Brok is dedicated, so always has the settings correct. I can just log in & go, as he never leaves High Sec or PVE. This links with this thread too: If we have too many people on WL running a VG pack might also help. I can help FC there. Decision for High Command obviously, but Black-out is a big change. I can see Null people getting a toon ready for High Sec Incursion at this rate. Tools in the Tool-box
  25. Incursion Leshak

NRF. Keep at range 20km to target, and near a blob. Roasty Toasty. Last wave use Mystic whilst sitting 25-30 from AAA. Having your prop-module set for 'auto repeat' off, and then pulsing it, is enough for the burns. Means you don't cap out. Just repeat the pulse quickly for longer burns. I think that's about it now.
