NilesGrey 7 Posted November 11, 2018 Due to a player in Warpto Logi asking about being able to fly a scimitar at Logi 3, I started playing around and discovered this as a Level 3 Logi, Level 4 Cap Management (or Level 4 Shield Emission Systems) possible low-cost entry point. This fit also doesn't require any implants to be stable. For approximately 381 million isk this modification of the Logi IV Standard Fit will get a player training naturally into fleet approximately 4 days sooner than the standard fit: [Scimitar, Logi 3] Power Diagnostic System II Dark Blood Capacitor Power Relay Dark Blood Capacitor Power Relay Dark Blood Capacitor Power Relay 10MN Afterburner II Adaptive Invulnerability Field II Adaptive Invulnerability Field II Dark Blood Cap Recharger Dark Blood Cap Recharger Large Remote Shield Booster II Large Remote Shield Booster II Large Remote Shield Booster II Large Remote Shield Booster II Medium Ancillary Current Router II Medium Capacitor Control Circuit II With Logi being such a tough entry point anything that gets them rolling into fleets faster/makes them more accessible seems like a good idea. Take a look and any suggestions/comments would be appreciated. If you guys like it what would be the right steps to add it to the approved fit site?
NilesGrey 7 Posted November 11, 2018 (edited) I just realized I'm in the wrong forum section for this huh? Edited November 11, 2018 by NilesGrey
niki lasvegas 537 Posted November 12, 2018 I personally dont think we should play around any kind of idea of logi 3. Even logi 4 is not that great for what we do. We should not lower this requirement in my opinion.
NilesGrey 7 Posted November 12, 2018 I understand, but the barrier of time and skill is what makes it hard to get logi sometimes
Miranda Barstow 39 Posted November 12, 2018 Once you have racial cruiser 5, logi 4 is only a couple days. This is a non-issue.
Izumi Uchiya MD 214 Posted November 12, 2018 I agree with the above, even allowing Logi 4 is a low standard. If people can't be bothered to train Logi 4, they probably can't be bothered to fill a lot of supports that the above fit depends on. Even with all the bling, this can only manage 3-stable when missing 1/3 of the 2 cap skills and shield emissions 5. You're using isk to cover skills deficit on a known squishy ship, it's not a good way for a newbro to start. To put it another way, if I had an excited newbro who's big on logi with at least Logi 4 in his training queue, then yeah I'd consider getting him in with this fit on a one-time basis. However, I would strongly oppose putting it on our public recommendations.
NilesGrey 7 Posted November 12, 2018 (edited) I actually figured out a better option that is cap stable with 0 bling price tag of only 285.3 million: [Scimitar, Test] Power Diagnostic System II Capacitor Power Relay II Capacitor Power Relay II Capacitor Power Relay II 10MN Afterburner II Adaptive Invulnerability Field II Adaptive Invulnerability Field II Medium Compact Pb-Acid Cap Battery Cap Recharger II Large Remote Shield Booster II Large Remote Shield Booster II Large Remote Shield Booster II Large Remote Shield Booster II Medium Ancillary Current Router II Medium Capacitor Control Circuit II Sorry should have updated this sooner Edited November 12, 2018 by NilesGrey
Miranda Barstow 39 Posted November 12, 2018 That's pretty much just our level 4 scimi fit.
NilesGrey 7 Posted November 12, 2018 (edited) Pretty close, yes but it's stable for a level 3 logi. Though as you guys said, it's a moot point when it takes approximately 270 days to meet minimum skill reqs (excluding skill injectors) for WTM logi and only 100 days to skill into a DPS/sniper ships it's kind of a non issue. I really want to figure out a lower/easier entry point for Logi because that's a major turn off to any new players considering getting into logi. Why skill into Logi when it takes 2-3 skill injectors to get into a DPS ship, and 10 just to hit the minimum reqs for a Logi?
