Incursions for alts

Recommended Posts

Greetings fellow capsuleers,

I am thinking of creating a new character focused on incursions. Will initially be an alpha but can upgrade to omega depending on how things go. According to the recommended fits, my options are to train into either a Nightmare, Vindicator, Hyperion or Bhaalgorn. So which of these would be most effective at alpha level? I dont want to simply be a +1 in fleet. I want to contribute and earn my share of the isk fairly. Also im not space rich so i cant bling my way to success.

In a nutshell, im looking for a wallet-friendly fit that WTM would want in their fleets so i could get in once or twice a week.

Welcome to WTM! :D

If you have enough isk then I suggest either the Nightmare/Vindicator Alpha Fit listed in the fitting website but otherwise Hyperion or Bhaalgorn is good for the time being

please note that if you’re running an ALT for incursions that is under 4 weeks old, you need to be in an optimal hull, with proof to of having a character over 4 weeks, so hyperion or bhaalgorn aren’t viable

Hold on, this isn’t true.  We do have an upgrade policy but if this is your first time flying with WTM then you can try it without having to be in an optimal hull until after 25 hours in-fleet.

characters under 4 weeks are not allowed in fleet without providing proof of having a character over 4 weeks old & flying an optimal hull. it’s in the WTM Incrusions MOTD, unless this was changed recently?

Characters Under 4 weeks are not allowed to fly with WTM. FCs may make an exception and invite one if the pilot is A, in an optimal hull and B, can prove that they have some experience playing EVE in general. FCs at no time are required to invite these characters until after 4 weeks in game. This info was in the MOTD for about a month as general news.

This policy is to prevent abuse of our upgrade policy with the ease of rolling day one alpha accounts, also to give true newbros time to actually learn basic in game mechanics and to train some skills.

To answer your question directly, please get a nightmare. :x

Biggest isk investment is the hull itself. After that you can make isk in fleet and upgrade when you can.

I was referring to your claim that they couldn’t be in a bhaalgorn or a hyperion.

The Upgrade Policy and New Character policy are separate

I checked the R&R and Malcolm/Lilitu are correct with regards to characters under 4 weeks old.

We need our pilots to be as capable as possible.

Get into an optimal hull, t2 guns, faction lows (abysalls preferred), and SKILLS.

Join us if you are going to upgrade and be a part of the community.

Am nobody but to answer your question. I would say go for the vindi. but thats just my preference.

Lol what. The very first comment was: "Nightmare/Vindicator Alpha"  which is best response :P

Unless You can fly logi ships - those are even more wallet friendly, but they won't be available on new character for some time, so "Nightmare/Vindicator Alpha" it's a way to go.

I don't get what I sed wrong Vindi = Vindicator.

Thank you all for this info.

Im in no hurry so I will fully train my character first before joining fleets. Ive settled on vindi/nightmare based on your feedback. Later I can train into logi.
