  1. Scimitar Upgrades

This fit was actually removed from acceptable with the Surgical Strike patch.
  2. Scimitar Upgrades

It basically comes down to cost versus performance. Bling AB are nice but they don't add enough to make them wanted on the majority of fits. I would only really recommend adding a dcu for influence where your resists matter a little more. A scimitar's tank mostly comes in its tiny sig and its speed, with great base resists in EM and Thermal to get away with much less. I personally believe a scimitar's greatest tank is simply not getting aggro in the first place, something a basilisk doesn't always have the luxury of. This takes a little experience and situational awareness to pull off though.
  3. Updating the guides

He mentions it. We should look about having an updated part for logi tho. Optimal basi add one passive em scimi add another invuln or dcu? Not sure what the right call would be for the guide.
  4. Updating the guides

That's what I've always done. Knowing when and where to stop your ship is a helpful skill to learn. Helps for stopping in front of romis to catch them burning, or stopping at your anchor spot and adjusting to avoid bumps.
  5. Updating the guides

Focus on getting there, separating your ammo out then dropping the can, tractoring it, grabbing the mtac, getting it to the transfer array, then dropping it. Then you can drop drones, considering you are right next to the tower at this point. For someone who has never done it before, they should just focus on doing their job first.
  6. Updating the guides

Hmmmmm, I think you meant fed navy ogres. Also as good as that headline looks, maybe something that doesn't have sentry drones? It should be machariels preferred, if none available, nightmare can do it if they refit beforehand. They should wait to do that until they have dropped the first mtac, think Priorities.
  7. Updating the guides

    Triple posted?
  8. Scouting Guide (Unofficial)

Only use A for Abandoned if you don't know who bounced out of that site. Leave it tagged of the community who bounced out of it if you know, this lets FC know who may be coming back to it. Also one less thing for you to worry about. The best ship to scout with is an astero, fast align time, and can cloak, other cloaky ships are good as well, cov ops / stealth bomber, or if not that an interceptor or other fast frigate is good. You want to be quick to bounce between beacons and cloaked to give less intel to the other fleets. Please don't use corvettes to scout, they are incredibly slow. You can watch for timing on TCRCs by warping into the site and looking at the tower. If it has a shield around it visually that means they just started on the bash, if there is no shield shown it means they are in armor, if the lights on it start flickering that means they are into hull. Make sure they are past the entrance stage of the sites by looking for outuni deltole wrecks. If you are quick you can warp in, look at the tower, then warp back out.
  9. Serving cap broadcast, a better method?

That's not a failure of the method, that's a failure of Logi attentiveness. You would most likely run into the same problems either way. I would be really stupid to consider every line pilot as knowing nothing. I like that people like to think about these things, regardless of who they are. It shows they care. But the only way to get change to go through is to become a commander. WTM is a very bureaucratic safety orientated community. Whenever we want to do something new, we sit and discuss then we discuss some more. Established procedure rarely changes unless there is some good reason for it. We are most comfortable with what we are most familiar with. I like to hear the discussion though, its always nice to hear different perspectives.
  10. Serving cap broadcast, a better method?

It's something you learn from being an Logi Master, it doesn't conflict with our standard protocols. If you can work within the norm and improve efficiency then by all means, just please don't confuse people with new ways of doing things, especially for our newbro Basi pilots.
  11. Serving cap broadcast, a better method?

It's a way to prevent you from overcapping someone who doesn't broadcast in position, keeping at 100% isn't the endgoal. When you are proactively capping you can prevent cap broadcasts at all by looking to see who is full or not and cycling cap on every cap hungry target. In a newbro community like WTM we need a setup that ensures everyone is doing what they should and communicating with each other effectively. This isn't TVP where everyone is Pro level with good skills, implants, and top tier fits where your cap broadcasts are sensible, and you don't have people capping themselves out by leaving their MWD on. This is our tried and true method, and I would suggest you learn it well If you want to do LC regularly. As every LC is expected to run it the same way.
  12. Serving cap broadcast, a better method?

In my experience what happens in fleet with a normal cap situation and all the basis are paying attention, is one person broadcasts for cap, first person types first 3 letters, then everyone does + next person broadcasts for cap, a few break off for the next one, and so on and so forth. When we get a lot, each basi's pick one broadcast and work their way through it, when we have too many we cycle 2-3 cycles through each of them and come back around and service normally. Best way to avoid these situations is proactive capping and attentive basi pilots, sometimes its a lot harder with 2 combat caps and a tpph wall. I get a lot of people complaining about people not broadcasting for in position being an issue, and while they should, a good tip I can share is if your logs are showing you your cap sent to targets, you can see where your cap cycles start to send out less than their full amount, that's when you know they are full and you can switch off of them. This is helpful also if you are one of those bored basi pilots who don't afk on tpph tower bashes and go 0/6. You can get everyone full and ready for the next site. Logs are a helpful tool for any logi pilot.
  13. niki's shop

Piano Man brand webifier, does it come with an autograph?
  14. What am I eating right now.

You need to @Mr Rice for every new submission for it to be valid.
  15. Serving cap broadcast, a better method?

I have my basi's do this when we have a huge backlog of cap broadcasts to catch up. Otherwise proactive capping is what I push for. Ideally you have 1 person per cap broadcast (unless outuni) then the rest proactive capping. Having basi chat open and communicating what you're doing is a way to keep logi engaged and for everyone to be confident we're all doing our part. Communication and teamwork are what make a successful logi squad.
  16. Interested in Seeing What Others Play

I actually spent the extra money on the PS4 pro and a new 4k tv just for it haha Combat is something to get used to tho, but its pretty nice. Just spam dat mofo square button lmao
  17. Interested in Seeing What Others Play

New FF7 remake is reaaaallly good so far.
  18. Giving SRP Funds to Logi?

    Secret Logi payout confirmed?
  19. What can we expect?

Little curious where you are getting this info from.
  20. What can we expect?

The surgical strike patch isn't on SISI yet, the shield hardener tiericide is though which saw T2 and Meta Invulns getting a slight buff. So just -20% of those new resists.
  21. What can we expect?

The likely outcome would be increased logi amount to run sites, some ships would either be removed from accepted or tank would be reexamined, such as marauders. But nothing is certain at the moment.
  22. Rookie guide / Fits suggestion

Yeah CCP recently removed the overheating skill by default for new characters, so not everyone is going to have the ability now a days. Something some people might not be aware of, since its usually always been at least level 1 or something.
  23. When FC tells you to pull drones..

Default is shift F I believe, you can set a favorite group assigned to that shortcut by right clicking a drone group and setting as your favorite for launching.
  24. Forced into roles

Every role in fleet is required to run sites, most of the time people will volunteer for them, but when no one volunteers FC is forced to choose. Every role has an optimal ship that it is paired with. Drone bunnies are best served by Vindicators do to their hull bonuses to application. AAA is usually a nightmare because of their tank for meatshielding. And MTACs are typically always a mach due to their high base speed. One of the reasons machs are considered an optimal ship is there ability to be great MTACs, it's why we require them all to fit a tractor beam. MTAC is a crucial role for TCRCs (we can't run them without at least 1) so if no one is volunteering FC is going to pick a macharial at random. Denying an FCs request for the role falls under not following FC commands, which is under their discretion to remove them from fleet or not. Everyone needs to do their part to make a fleet work. Not knowing a role is something we can help with, not wanting to participate is another thing entirely.
  25. Today was my very first time to join an incursion fleet

Answering your question in order, shoot letters in order followed by numbers in order. Always shoot when you can, but never tag J! Use heavies whenever possible, lights for when FC asks for them. I would use tracking whenever possible, assuming you have meta guns with faction ammo, sometimes you may wanna load an optimal, such as in NRF last waves or in Assault sites, but you should have plenty of falloff to cover you. In TPPH and NRF you always wanna drop drones when the fleet is first coming into site and assign them. If you are late on grid, get to your anchor first, then drop drones, as they are slower than you are so it saves time to carry them there. In TCRCs only drop drones when called for as they can cause some split aggro. Sites will come more naturally the more you fly them, as there are only 3 HQ sites we run normally, it'll come quickly A quick run down of each site TPPH or True Power Provisional Headquarters, 3 rooms, last room has 3 waves followed by a tower bash, the slowest site NRF or Nation Rebirth Facility, 1 room, 4 waves, no tower bash TCRC or True Creation Rebirth Facility, 1 room, respawning rats with a tower bash, the fastest but most dangerous site, make sure to listen to your FC in these sites! Feel free to ask questions, and if you have trouble understanding ask if FC could type it out in fleet chat for you. Welcome to WTM o7
