Hello there,
I'm a returning player who stopped playing in 2012, not long after I got a Paladin (incidentally financed through armor Vanguards back then :P). I plan on re-subbing and grinding for a few weeks during Christmas break to set myself up for a later return.
I can only fill the DPS role, and would be willing to sell my Paladin in order to bring a Pulsemare fitted with the following. I have pretty much maxed out Gunnery and Drone skills.
[Nightmare, Nightmare incursions]
Heat Sink II

Couple questions: Should I expect a long waiting list for DPS over the holidays? Or is that not going to be as big of a concern to me as a 'newbro' in the first place? Ideally I would like to be able to participate pretty much everyday you run fleets and make some dank ISK. If I can expect long waiting / idle times I'll probably prefer to keep my Paladin and invest in a less expensive Incursion setup.
Second: Am I at risk of getting ganked while travelling with a fit such as this? How do you guys usually migrate? I don't know what the ganking climate is like nowadays, and want to make sure I know what's up before flying around in this.
Third: If you have any fitting recommendations, feel free. Following your guidelines I would progress the fit in the following order: faction HSs -> faction TCs -> Gunnery implants -> X-Type MWD -> 2nd A-Type Invuln -> Rigs -> faction LRCTs -> Ascendancy set
Cheers!
